Street art, archaeology and biolinguistics topics of the February 2016 EYE Catalunya broadcast
DIPLOCAT helps promote national creators on the international scene
The tenth in the series of EYE Catalunya talks was broadcasted on February 9 2016 with the backing of the Public Diplomacy Council of Catalonia (DIPLOCAT). EYE Catalunya is a technological platform set up to promote the most ingenious creators in Catalonia on the international scene.
Jorge Rodríguez Gerada
Jorge Rodríguez Gerada, an artist who launched the "Identitat" series of street murals in 2002 to turn art into a tool for dialogue with communities, was one of the three interviewees.
The second guest was Inés Domingo, an archaeologist who studies prehistoric post-Palaeolithic art on the Mediterranean fringe of the Iberian Peninsula, as well as Aboriginal art in Northern Australia.
Finally, the third guest was Cedric Boeckx, a researcher who is developing fresh approaches to biolinguistics in an attempt to uncover the biological foundations of human language.
Each one of the guest has 6 minutes to present their projects, 6 minutes to respond to an interview and 6 minutes to field questions from people following the event on-site or online.
