More than one hundred young people from around the world debate on education and entrepreneurship in Barcelona
The Secretary General of DIPLOCAT welcomed the participants of the Youth Time Global Forum
From today until Saturday takes place in Barcelona the Youth Time Global Forum, a gathering of young entrepreneurs and social activists from around the world, who regularly meet to discuss issues concerning young people. This time, the selected topic is the relationship between education and entrepreneurship as a measure to combat unemployment.
In the opening session this morning, Albert Royo, Secretary General of the Public Diplomacy Council of Catalonia (DIPLOCAT) addressed the participants with words of welcome. Royo spoke of the tradition of commerce in Catalonia, which until today results in openness to the world and international connections. He also mentioned the lack of natural resources and political power in Catalonia, which has forced its citizens to seek creative solutions and has strengthened entrepreneurship.
During the three days, the Youth Time Global Forum has scheduled a series of panel discussions and talks on theory, combined with practical workshops and presentations, as well as evaluations of projects on unemployment and the economic crisis. There will also be social activities and opportunities to explore Barcelona.
