DIPLOCAT Grants for the Internationalisation of Catalan Civil Organizations

A good network of international contacts is essential in the dynamic and complex environment of an increasingly globalized world where interdependent relations are at the forefront. These relations are no longer the sole property of countries and governments – civil society plays an ever increasing role nowadays. The international capacities of non-governmental bodies and associations has become a key element in the internationalisation of any country, and even more so in the case of Catalonia. At the same time, the capacity of these bodies to explain Catalonia to the rest of the world will depend to what extent they can participate in and contribute to the principal challenges and debates taking place regarding global governance.

Within this framework, the Public Diplomacy Council wishes to recognize the effort made by those organizations which have positioned themselves in international networks and are active in some of the most important debates currently facing mankind. To this end, the Council has reached an agreement with FOCIR to be the organization that it manages the 4th call of DIPLOCAT Grants for the Internationalisation of Catalan Civil Organizations, to cover expenses of participating in meetings and conferences organized by global or continental networks or groupings.
